Marriott Bonvoy Hotels in Bangkok, Ranked (2026)
Marriott has more skin in Bangkok than almost any other brand — here's exactly which properties are worth your time, and why.
Bangkok is one of the deepest markets in Marriott Bonvoy's Asia-Pacific portfolio. Across luxury and premium brands, the group runs more than a dozen full-service hotels in the city — from Luxury Collection properties that have anchored Bangkok's hotel scene for decades to newer Marriott-flag hotels that have become among the better-value five-star stays in Southeast Asia. The quality range is wide. The best properties here are genuinely excellent; a few coast on location or name recognition. This guide ranks them by merit, with honest notes on who each suits.
A note on geography: Bangkok's Marriott footprint concentrates almost entirely in the city-centre corridor — Sukhumvit, Sathorn, Silom, and the Ratchaprasong / Lumphini stretch. The former Bangkok Marriott Resort on the river left the portfolio and is now the Anantara Riverside; there is no current Marriott-brand hotel on the Chao Phraya itself. Note also that Capella Bangkok, Mandarin Oriental Bangkok, and Four Seasons Bangkok are not Marriott Bonvoy properties — they do not appear here. For city-centre loyalty stays, the options are genuinely strong.
Elevated Luxury
1. The St. Regis Bangkok Marriott STARS perks
The St. Regis sits on Rajadamri Road facing the manicured lawns of the Royal Bangkok Sports Club — one of the more improbable views in the city, all green calm and colonial grandeur framed by a skyline that cannot decide whether it is Tokyo or Dubai. Butler service is the real differentiator: attentive, unobtrusive, and skilled in a way that many hotels claim but few deliver. Rooms are large and genuinely elegant with floor-to-ceiling windows framing sweeping city views. IGNIV Bangkok has held a Michelin star since 2022. The pool and gym are compact for the price point — a fair criticism — but the overall experience is one of Bangkok's most polished. Direct BTS Ratchadamri connection keeps the city within easy reach. Rates from around THB 12,000 / USD 330 per night.
| Best for | Travellers who want the definitive Bangkok luxury experience; couples; business travellers for whom service is non-negotiable |
|---|---|
| Booking | Marriott STARS → |
| Positives | Butler service; IGNIV Michelin-star dining; Royal Bangkok Sports Club views; BTS connected |
| Watch out for | Pool and gym are compact for the price tier; rates are among the highest in the Bangkok Bonvoy portfolio |
2. The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok Marriott STARS perks
The Athenee does not shout. Tucked behind Phloen Chit — steps from the BTS station — it has a Thai-colonial character, 374 generously sized rooms and suites, and one of the most complete amenity packages in the city: eight F&B venues, a rooftop lagoon pool, and curated spa programmes. Some rooms show age in the finish, and this is not a minimalist design hotel — the aesthetic is ornate and warm rather than spare and modern. Guests consistently rate the breakfast among the best in Bangkok, and the club lounge is a genuine pleasure. At rates that typically sit below the St. Regis, it represents the sharper value play at this tier. Rates from around THB 9,000 / USD 248 per night.
| Best for | Full-service luxury with Bangkok character; families; guests who prioritise amenity breadth |
|---|---|
| Booking | Marriott STARS → |
| Positives | Best breakfast in the Luxury Collection Bangkok tier; excellent club lounge; eight dining venues; strong value vs St. Regis |
| Watch out for | Some rooms are dated; ornate aesthetic is not for everyone |
Luxury
3. Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok Marriott STARS perks
As well-connected as any hotel in Bangkok — a sky bridge links directly to the Asoke BTS and Sukhumvit MRT interchange, with Terminal 21 steps away. Its 420 rooms are spacious and well-maintained, and the central pool courtyard is a genuine respite from Sukhumvit's intensity. Six restaurants include a Michelin-recognised venue. The FlyerTalk community is candid: "solid choice for loyalty earners but not destination dining" — the F&B works, but it does not draw Bangkokians in off the street. Some furnishings are due for freshening, but the overall package — service, location, dining, and facilities — earns consistent Travellers' Choice recognition. One of the most competent all-round hotels in the city. Rates from around THB 8,500 / USD 234 per night.
| Best for | Business travellers; first-time visitors wanting central access and reliable full-service; Sukhumvit stays |
|---|---|
| Booking | Marriott STARS → |
| Positives | Sky bridge BTS / MRT connection; spacious rooms; Michelin-recognised restaurant; pool courtyard |
| Watch out for | F&B is functional rather than destination-worthy; some furnishings are ageing |
4. W Bangkok ★ Marriott STARS perks
The W occupies a 31-floor tower on Sathorn and incorporates The House on Sathorn — a century-old neoclassical mansion — into its F&B and event space, a genuinely clever piece of adaptive reuse. Rooms are design-forward with a strong brand identity; the WET pool deck on the sixth floor is well executed. AWAY Spa is consistently praised by the FlyerTalk community as one of the standouts among W properties in the region — notably good by Bangkok standards. Service has improved markedly in recent years. The community rates W Bangkok well for overall experience quality, and the ★ reflects that consistent approval. Near Chong Nonsi BTS, in the heart of Sathorn close to both Silom and the riverside. Rates from around THB 7,500 / USD 206 per night.
| Best for | Design-conscious travellers; couples wanting a stylish city-centre base with personality |
|---|---|
| Booking | Marriott STARS → |
| Positives | AWAY Spa (community standout); House on Sathorn F&B; design identity; Chong Nonsi BTS connection |
| Watch out for | Not the hotel for guests who prefer traditional luxury; poolside music can run later than expected |
5. JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok Marriott STARS perks
Set on Sukhumvit Road between Ploenchit and Nana BTS stations, the JW is a reliable, well-run property with an outdoor pool that feels unexpectedly calm given its address. Eight restaurants cover most cuisines. The Executive Lounge on the 16th floor is excellent — views, attentive service, food quality that makes the club level worth the premium. The FlyerTalk community is honest about the product: "decent for points but dated rooms" — the bones are good, the interiors are not fresh, and the hotel is showing its age in some categories. For Bonvoy loyalists who want multiple dining options and strong F&B credits, it performs. Rates from around THB 7,000 / USD 193 per night.
| Best for | Business travellers; Marriott loyalists wanting a dependable luxury base; multiple dining on-site |
|---|---|
| Booking | Marriott STARS → |
| Positives | Excellent 16th-floor Executive Lounge; eight restaurants; reliable service; Sukhumvit access |
| Watch out for | Dated rooms in some categories; an older property that has not had a full renovation |
Upper Premium
6. Bangkok Marriott The Surawongse Marriott Luminous perks
The most characterful full-service Marriott-branded hotel in Bangkok — a handsome 32-storey tower in Surawong, close to Silom and a short ride from the river. The infinity pool has genuine views; Yao Bar is one of the better drinks perches in the city; the Thai-inflected design gives rooms more personality than the typical Marriott flag. Three dining venues (Priya Kitchen, Yao Restaurant, Kissuisen) provide solid variety. Rates sit below the Luxury Collection properties, making it one of the better-value plays in the Bangkok lineup. The neighbourhood is more local and less tourist-polished than Sukhumvit — a feature for some, a drawback for others. Rates from around THB 5,500 / USD 151 per night.
| Best for | Travellers who want Marriott reliability with more Bangkok character; Silom / river proximity; value vs Luxury Collection |
|---|---|
| Booking | Marriott Luminous → |
| Positives | Yao Bar rooftop; Thai-inflected design; strong value; closer to the river than Sukhumvit alternatives |
| Watch out for | Surawong neighbourhood is less polished than Sukhumvit; fewer transport options |
7. Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen's Park Marriott Luminous perks
A large hotel — over 1,300 rooms — in the quieter stretch of Sukhumvit near Phrom Phong. The scale delivers: multiple restaurants, a large pool, full spa, and one of Bangkok's more extensive club lounges. The FlyerTalk community notes strong Ambassador recognition here — one of the better properties in the portfolio for elite benefit delivery at scale. The pool and spa quality are both praised. Some corners show the wear that comes with sheer guest volume, but the breakfast buffet — Thai, Chinese, Japanese, and Western across multiple stations — is a genuine highlight. Strong value for families, groups, and longer-stay guests. Rates from around THB 4,800 / USD 132 per night.
| Best for | Families; groups; longer stays; guests wanting full resort-style facilities at a reasonable rate |
|---|---|
| Booking | Marriott Luminous → |
| Positives | Strong Ambassador / Titanium recognition; excellent pool and spa; outstanding breakfast buffet; Phrom Phong location |
| Watch out for | Scale means it can feel impersonal; 1,300+ rooms means some areas show wear; busy at peak times |
8. Le Méridien Bangkok Marriott Luminous perks
Le Méridien sits in Silom at the intersection of the Sala Daeng BTS and Sam Yan MRT lines — as well-connected as anywhere in the city. The brand's art-forward design is genuinely executed here: the lobby feels like a gallery, rooms are generous and well-lit. The Flow Onsen mineral pool is a differentiator unusual in Bangkok. The club lounge earns strong marks. It won the 2025 Booking.com Traveller Review Award. The Luminous booking is the right programme here — reliable Luminous option at a central Silom location. Rates from around THB 5,000 / USD 138 per night.
| Best for | Business and conference guests; design lovers; wellness-focused travellers; Silom base |
|---|---|
| Booking | Marriott Luminous → |
| Positives | Flow Onsen mineral pool (unique in Bangkok); Sala Daeng BTS / Sam Yan MRT intersection; strong club lounge; gallery-style design |
| Watch out for | More formal / business-oriented feel; less suited to pure leisure stays |
9. The Westin Grande Sukhumvit, Bangkok Marriott Luminous perks
The Westin sits directly across from Terminal 21, steps from the Asoke BTS and Sukhumvit MRT interchange — the same node as the Sheraton Grande, but at a noticeably lower rate. Rooms are spacious, the Heavenly Beds earn their reputation, and the rooftop saltwater pool is a genuine highlight with strong city views. Kisso Japanese Restaurant is consistently rated among the best in the city. Some rooms and public areas show age — the property would benefit from a broader refresh. For guests after a well-located premium hotel with good F&B at a sensible price, the Westin delivers. Rates from around THB 4,200 / USD 116 per night.
| Best for | Value-conscious travellers wanting full-service facilities; families; BTS-priority guests |
|---|---|
| Booking | Marriott Luminous → |
| Positives | Rooftop saltwater pool; Kisso Japanese restaurant; Asoke BTS / Sukhumvit MRT connection; competitive rates |
| Watch out for | Some rooms and public areas are showing age; not as polished as the Sheraton Grande at the same interchange |
Premium (Select-Service)
Bangkok's Marriott select-service tier — Four Points by Sheraton (multiple Sukhumvit locations: Sukhumvit 15, Sukhumvit 22, and Ploenchit) and Courtyard by Marriott Bangkok Sukhumvit 20 — offers clean, well-run hotels at prices that undercut the full-service tier significantly. These are not properties where Marriott STARS or Luminous benefits apply, but they are honest options for budget-conscious travellers who want the Bonvoy ecosystem and a reliable base. Aloft Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 sits at a similar tier: lifestyle positioning, good location, sensible rates. We are happy to book any of them for you. Book with us →
Best for: Cost-conscious travellers, solo business trips, longer stays where rate matters more than amenities.

How to Choose
Start with location. If your trip centres on Sukhumvit — restaurants, rooftop bars, Nana to Phrom Phong — any Sukhumvit property works. If you are here for Silom, galleries, or proximity to the river, Le Méridien or the Surawongse make more geographic sense. For the city's best address and the full St. Regis experience, Rajadamri is the answer.
Then consider what the hotel actually does well. The Athenee offers more amenities per baht than the St. Regis. The Westin Sukhumvit delivers much of what the Sheraton Grande does at a lower rate. The W's AWAY Spa is the standout wellness amenity at the luxury tier. The Surawongse has character the Marriott Marquis cannot match.
Booking through Needful Travel means you pay exactly the same rate as booking direct — no markup, no premium. What you gain is access to Marriott STARS / Luminous partner benefits at eligible properties: complimentary daily breakfast, a ~US$100 property credit, room upgrades based on availability, and priority early check-in and late check-out. At a hotel like the St. Regis or the Athenee — where breakfast alone runs US$40–60 per person per day — those perks shift the effective value of the booking considerably.
If any of these properties are on your Bangkok list, we would be glad to help put it together. Benefits page · Plan your trip.
